Ahh Summer Weddings!
It's hard to think of an occasion, that comes remotely close to the festivity of a blissful summer wedding. Breath taking decor in a beautiful ambiance, littered with a plethora of vibrant faces. From family and friends you haven't seen in ages, it's certainly an honor and a privilege to attend such an affair.
And if you've had the pleasure of attending one in the past, then you're well aware that looking the part, is not only a requirement, but a complimentary display of gratitude to the bridal party. So if you've been thinking about how to look your absolute best for your next summer wedding, we've got you covered!
1. EMBRACE COLOR
There's no better time to pull out your colorful suiting, than an invitation to a summer wedding. But doing so requires quite a bit of strategy. You'll need to ensure, that your outfit isn't over the top. Whether it's a shade of yellow, red, green or blue, this is the time light up the room with some sartorial elegance.
Next, you'll want to tone down your colors. A crisp white dress shirt, or a light shade of blue, will do just that. Denim works great too. Think you've got a bit too much going on? Break up punchy colored suiting, with a less vibrant trouser combination, in Navy, Grey or White.
2. ACCESSORIES STEAL THE SHOW
Your tie choice speaks volumes. So opt for a stylish touch of wool or cotton fabric, to absorb the tones of your suit color nicely. Should you prefer a more relaxed get up, lose the tie and add a lightly patterned pocket square, or floral lapel ornament instead. Most lapel flowers, however, are ridiculously sized, and a flower size of no larger than 0.5"to 0.75"inches, typically suits best. With proper planning, all three namely the tie, pocket square, and floral lapel ornament can also work well together.
3. ANCHOR THE FIT
If you're looking for fail proof footwear, Brown is certainly the move. Oxfords, Double or Single Monkstraps, Penny or Tassel Loafers in leather or suede...are all fair game. For a more casual yet sophisticated approach, a non athletic, minimalist pair of plain white or gum soled sneakers will work perfectly.
